Rico Maggi, IRE director
Rico Maggi is former dean of the Faculty of Economics and Professor of USI. He teaches microeconomics, international economics and tourism economics in the Faculty of Economics, and urban economics in the Academy of Architecture. Rico Maggi is director of the Institute for Economic Research (IRE) where he deals with issues on transport, urban and regional development, mobility and tourism. CV

Moreno Baruffini, Ph. D. in Economics

Dipl. Ing. Moreno Baruffini is PhD in Economics at the Institute for Economic Research - IRE. Since 2007 he has been working as a research assistant and scientific researcher at Università della Svizzera italiana. He is currently a Post Doc researcher at the Labour Market Observatory ( O-Lav). His current academic work concerns the analysis of European cross-border labour markets and border-regional economics, specifically focusing on trans-border mobility and “flexicurity”.

Luzius Stricker, Ph. D. student

Luzius Stricker is a Ph. D. student in Economics. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in economics at the USI and since 2014 is a collaborator at the Labour Market Observatory (O-Lav). His research focuses on wage policies.
